Rain makes this harder than the numbers suggest. Wet boards are slippery. You should be steady on your feet. The distance is manageable but conditions slow you down.

Local guides rotate seasonally. All carry bear bells and know which sections flood first. The hut warden has been there 20 years and tracks every tree that falls.
